This exciting flying tour is designed for licenced foot launch Paramotor pilots with a minimum of 50 hrs or 100 flights of flying experience who want to fly some of the most spectacular places you will ever see. New Zealand’s South Island is an adventure playground ideally suited for Paramotoring with its constantly changing landscapes and breath-taking scenery.

 

This tour is designed to be hassle free, with paramotors available to all participants. So no issues at the airport stressing out if your motor will be travelling with you or being stopped at customs. Just bring your wing, helmet, camera and personal items and you are set to go on an adventure of a lifetime.

 

The tour is designed not only to explore the best areas by Paramotor but also having the opportunity to participate in the huge range of activities that are on offer in the South Island

 

Tour numbers will be limited to 6 pilots. This will enable a flexibility in the tour schedule to work around the weather restraints in NZ.

 

Dave Dennis, owner of Parapro with 25 years of experience, New Zealand’s first Paramotor rated instructor and organizer of previous high profile Paramotor tours is your guide. With a wealth of experience and local site knowledge he will guide you around the South Island’s best Paramotoring areas.

 

The tour targets the following areas: Akaroa/ Christchurch, Arthurs Pass, Tekapo, Wanaka, Queenstown, Frans Joseph Glacier, Punikiki, Able Tasman, Kaikoura.

What the Tour Provides:

  •   Airport transfers to and from accommodation
  •   Transport to the best areas for Paramotoring.
  •   Specifically designed trailer to house 6 paramotors plus equipment
  •   Experienced tour guide – NZ’s leading paramotor instructor..
  •   Accommodation: Budget type.
  •   As new motors supplied. Fuel, oil, fuel cans and spare parts.
  •   Free flying harness if you want to free fly.
  •   Back up paramotor wing available

 

Tour Cost:

$3000 NZD. Motor is provided plus $12 per hr for petrol / oil / depreciation.

If you bring your own motor $2750

Non flying participants $2500

Note: Airfares, food and entertainment / activities are not included in the tour price.

 

Damage liability: Please note, any damages occurred to the paramotors will be at the pilot’s expense.

 

Tour Schedule Example: (This may change depending upon the weather and clients neads

Day 1. Akaroa / Christchurch: Paramotoring banks peninsula. Travel to Tekapo mid-afternoon.

Day 2. Tekapo: Fly morning and travel to Wanaka. Fly Wanaka in the afternoon.

Day 3. Wanaka: Paramotoring in the morning. Visit Queenstown. – The adventure capital of the world. Local activities

Day 4. Wanaka: Fly in the morning / walk to Rob Roy glacier. Travel to the glaciers in the afternoon

Day 5. Frans / fox Glacier: Fly morning. Local activities. Travel to Punikiki mid afternoon

Day 6. Punikiki/Westport : Fly Punikiki / activities. Travel to Able Tasman – mid afternoon

Day 7. Able Tasman: Paramotoring / fish/sea kayak

Day 8. Able Tasman: Paramotoring in the morning. / Fishing. Travel to Kaikoura in the afternoon. Visit wineries.

Day 9. Kaikoura: Paramotoring during the day. Local day activities

Day 10. Return to Christchurch. Fly Eastern Coastline. Last day of tour.

Transfers to airport available from 5pm on day 10

6 x near new Polini Thor 130’s. 130cm prop. Maximum pilot weight – 95Kg. High hang-point

1x Flyproducts Gold, 130cm prop. 200 cc. Max weight 180kg. High hang-point
